MooTidy Help v0.1.0-rc.3

1. Welcome to MooTidy

MooTidy runs the day-to-day work of a residential cleaning business: the people who ask about your cleaning, your customers and their homes, the regular cleans you have agreed, who is cleaning where and when, and what customers owe and have paid.

It is built for a solo cleaner or a small team, with one simple idea at its centre: every clean follows the same journey.

The MooTidy journey

Lead → Customer → Property → Service plan → Clean (job) → Invoice → Payment

Stage What it is What it leads to
Lead Someone who has asked about your cleaning. When they say yes, you convert them into a customer.
Customer A person or household you clean for. You add the home (or homes) you clean for them.
Property A home you clean, with its address and the notes your cleaners need. You set up the regular clean for that home.
Service plan The agreed service, schedule and price for regular cleans. You generate the plan's cleans into the Calendar.
Clean (job) One visit on one day, with a cleaner assigned. The cleaner arrives, cleans and completes it in My Jobs.
Invoice What the customer owes for completed cleans. You issue it, and the customer pays.
Payment Money you have received. The invoice becomes paid, and the payment counts as revenue.

You can also book a single clean without a plan (a one-off job), and you can add a customer directly without starting from a lead.

You stay in control. MooTidy has an optional customer portal where customers can see their cleans and invoices and ask for changes. It is optional: you can always do everything on the customer's behalf, and nothing a customer asks for changes until you decide.
