20. Roles and access
Each person in your business has one or more roles. One person can hold several, for example an owner who also cleans.
| Role | What they do in MooTidy |

| Owner | Runs the business: everything a manager does, plus Business Settings, the customer portal switch, invoice numbering and payment details. |
| Manager | Runs the day-to-day: Dashboard, Leads, Customers, Customer Requests, Calendar, Invoices and payments, Services and Notifications. Can view Business Settings. |
| Admin | Supports the office: the same work as a manager, except changing services. Can view Business Settings. |
| Cleaner | Does the cleans: My Jobs, My Cleaner Profile, My Availability, and Services to view. |
| Contractor | Works like a cleaner in My Jobs. |
| Customer (portal) | Sees their own cleans, invoices and requests in the customer portal, if you use it. |
Cleaners have a focused, work-only view. They do not see business figures, invoices, payments, other customers, management notes or other cleaners' work, and they see access details only for their own assigned cleans.
